Thoughtful support.
Space to be yourself.
I'm Fareeha Naik, a Counselling Psychologist based in Mumbai. I work with adolescents, adults and young professionals navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, relationship concerns and life transitions. As an Expat & Cultural Transition Specialist, I also support NRIs, expats and anyone living between cultures, wherever they are in the world.
Through Unlock: Mind and Wellness, I offer online counselling that makes room for your experiences, questions and priorities. My approach begins with listening and understanding what matters to you.
Book a ConversationYour experience guides our work.
I take a person-centred approach to counselling. This means working collaboratively, respecting your individuality and allowing space for you to explore your concerns at a pace that feels manageable.
My practice draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and psychoeducation. These approaches offer different ways to understand patterns, explore possibilities and develop practical strategies. The work is shaped around your needs and goals.
Together, we can make space for reflection while considering how the insights from our conversations might support you in everyday life.
What you can expect
You do not need to arrive with everything figured out. We can begin with what feels most present for you, whether that is a specific concern, a recurring pattern or a feeling you find difficult to describe.
Our conversations may help you explore emotions, relationships, expectations and the ways you respond to challenges. Where useful, we can also work on practical skills such as setting boundaries, communicating your needs and managing stress.
Throughout the process, your questions and feedback are welcome. Counselling is a collaborative relationship, and we can regularly reflect on what is helpful and what may need to change.
Education and training
- MA in Counselling Psychology MMP Shah College, Mumbai
- Certification in Person-Centred Therapy
Alongside individual counselling, I work as a Global Behavioural Skills Facilitator, offering behavioural skills training, reflective workshops and psychoeducation focused on self-awareness, communication and well-being.
Beyond individual counselling
Unlock: Mind and Wellness also creates opportunities for learning and connection through workshops and community spaces, including The Reading Room.
These offerings invite people to explore ideas, consider different perspectives and build a more thoughtful understanding of themselves and others.
Support that fits into your life
If you are considering counselling, you are welcome to ask about the process, discuss practical arrangements and explore whether working together feels right for you.
